SHOW INTRODUCTION Everyone is talking about climate change and the impact of human activity on our warming planet. There is talk about food and product production and shipping, travel, fossil fuels, energy, and building. Where is the discussion of population? Carbon offsets stand aside, there are just too many of us on the planet! So how do we reduce the number of new souls being added to the planet? By improving the status of women. After all, throughout history women have managed somewhat to control the number of children they have, when they can. So why aren’t we looking at more education and freedom for women to plan their families and even chose not to have them, everywhere on the planet? Join me in this hour for a discussion of population, nature and women’s rights.
