SHOW INTRODUCTION This is a health show. We’ve been covering the science and research about health effects of wireless technologies for the last eleven years. We’re concerned. Now we are looking at an aggressive expansion of wireless broadband across the country. We want people to have internet access but there are questions about how it’s delivered. It might surprise you to discover that wireless broadband is actually an inferior technology; that, health concerns aside, it’s not secure, it’s slow, and it’s not free. In fact, there are safer, faster technologies that don’t necessitate installing towers and antennas near homes and schools, lowering property values and increasing lawsuits. We’re joined today by two activists to discuss both alternatives to wireless broadband and how other parts of the county and the world are resisting the proliferation of wireless technologies that are making the telecoms very rich and children very ill.
