SHOW INTRODUCTION The conventional treatment trajectory for CVD is linear and predictable. If you have high blood pressure, angina, blocked arteries, and high cholestrol you'll receive an angioplasty, several pharmacueticals, and a low fat diet. Oddly, doctors never saw CVD and heart attacks much before 1928 when highly polyunsaturated and processed fats replaced butter and lard. AND the incidence of CVD continues to climb. So what do we know about the etiology of strokes, atherosclerosis, and heart disease? I mean, what do we know about WHY it occurs, not just how to surpress its symptoms. In the next hour I'll be unpacking some of the newest research about how to protect people from developing CVD and how to treat its underlying cause, often nutrient definciencies. Stay with me.
