SHOW INTRODUCTION 66% of communities in the U.S. have water treated with fluoride. 60 U.S. communities have rejected it’s use. 98% of communities in W. Europe have rejected it’s use yet their children’s teeth are just as healthy as children in the U.S. and judging by the science on fluoride, they’re probably a lot healthier overall than the US children exposed to fluoridated water. A waste product of the inorganic fertilizer industry, 90% of the chemicals used to fluoridate water in the U.S. are classified as hazardous wastes contaminated with impurities. Research done by Masters and Coplan in 2000 shows an increased uptake of lead into children’s blood exposed to fluoride, enough to damage their brains. All this risk for a substance that in the largest survey ever conducted in the US affects less than one out of 128 tooth surfaces in children at level below statistical significance. And we haven’t EVEN gotten to it’s cumulative toxic effect on our bones, pineal gland and other tissues. Stay with us for an interview with chemist Dr. Paul Conett from the Fluoride Action Network.
